Worst big match team of all time you know. Özil in particular.
Didn't think Ozil played very well tbf.

Got their tactics perfect tonight. Hargreaves talked some absolute bollocks on comms about what they should do differently.

He scored and I was emotional.

But yeah, the approach was solid and the defensive guys did their job well. Ballerin was a bit shaky against Costa, but he moved to the right 2nd half and couldn't do much.

Ozil was a great release valve. As soon as the Bayern players closed in; if he had the ball he'd keep possession. He'd buy time, make passes and get it back or win a throw in or something. His passing was also really good for those quick counters. It was Ozil and Cazorla that got the midfield in some kind of shape to provide as a platform.

The return leg will be big, but so too will the other fixtures in the group. Still not in their own hands.

Nah, Neuer's good but he's prone to the odd gaffe. People talk about him as if he's the greatest goalie ever largely based on the fact he likes wandering around in the centre circle while his side enjoys 98% possession.

Best in the world? I have seen so much more of De Gea and Courtois that I lean towards one of them, probably De Gea.

I probably would've agreed with Furball before the world cup, but he really did play at another level last season. His save off Walcott pretty much takes an error away anyway, so I'll say he's even for the night.

Oh, the Neuer debate. Did I ever mention the time Anderson scored past him twice? No? Oh....

Meanwhile, Arsenal fans...

Because he delivers his banal ****e in slightly less monotonous tones than Hargreaves and Owen? Got to spice it up a bit to keep the viewer awake.

Don't have BT ATM, so how's Rio been as a pundit? I get the impression that he'd be decent if one can get past the fact he sounds like the special kid in class.

I haven't minded him. I make particular effort to not pay full attention though, because collectively, they're awful most of the time.
