funnily enough 7 of those 10 had won a Slam by then.

It didn't feel it at the time but 2002-2005 was a poop period of tennis, we just had awesome #1s in Agassi in 2002/03 and then Fed in 03/05. The other awesome thing was Safin's run at the Aus Open of course.

It wasn't worse than the Sampras-Agassi period though

Nadal paying $7.40 vs. Novak in the Beijing ATP 500 final. Who thought that day would ever come when Rafa would be such long odds. Incredible that its just slightly over 2 years since Rafa beat Novak in the US Open Final too.

He's only beaten Novak once since this tournament two years ago I think. Which is pretty insane because he'd just become number one then.

Rafa is playing exceptionally well, and yet he's a break down. Incredible how good Novak is. But this is good to watch.

surprised there hasn't been much posting about Konta in here. Looks very very good.
If you mean from a British tennis point of view, it's hard to get too excited by a woman born in Australia to Hungarian parents who only became British in 2012. She makes Greg Rusedski look like Princess Anne's next of kin.
Laura Robson is also Australian but did at least move to Britain when she still had her milk teeth.

Has never stopped English fans cheering on their sportspersons before. Don't see why it should now.

djokovic crushes murray...i think he will finish ahead of nadal in terms of majors and overall wins and i can also see him winning the first double career slam in the open era...
