I bet all the guys throwing bottles over a meh T20 match don't even care about test matches.

2 times Calcutta and now Cuttack. What is it with that part of India?
Hey, let's not compare Calcutta with Cuttack. Calcutta has a history of hosting great matches. It has a history of great spectators. Some of them misbehaved 2 times - once during World Cup semi-final, and the 2nd time during India-Pakistan test match. Cuttack is like a newborn baby compared to Calcutta - it has no cricketing history. But it wants to ruin a meaningless T20 game.

can't believe people would actually care so much about a bilateral T20. That's probably lower down the importance scale than even a bilateral odi

Must have been some impressive bottle throws given how the crowds are delightfully caged off.

At least they didn't try to set fire to the stadium

From my experience, most people who show up to the grounds for these matches are casual fans..who don't really understand or follow the game as much, but show up when there is a game on and all they care about is their team winning at all costs. So your points about this being a bilateral T20 with minimum importance makes absolutely no difference to them

They just feel, oh our money was wasted and react. There was some thing poignant Duncan Hamilton wrote. He said the casual fan will tell and abuse and curse. The deeper fan will feel sad about the situation and feel the hurt. He explained it beautifully giving examples of two types of English viewers.
