I have known this for a very long time but I remember when I found out it blew my mind as the only time I used to hear him was when the Windies toured and he guested on TMS. Great commentator.

Yeah exactly. I've seen people defending him by saying we've all called time on Lyth too, but he chose the most dickheaded possible way of saying it.

One thing us on here saying he is out of his depth but a fellow professional gloating about it is a bit much.

1. He did this sort of thing pretty much as soon as he was dropped, e.g. Taking great delight in championing Prior's poor form on twitter
2. There's a general principle in life that separates dicks from non-dicks. It's called not being a dick. This is exactly the sort of thing that shows why the guy is toxic. Imagine what his attitude to Lyth would be in the dressing room.

I mean if it was a middle order bat struggling you could at least see why he'd feel the need to say it. Would still be a complete dick for saying it, but the fact is he's having a go at a bloke who has had a go and failed. So what? He's just not up to it. It's a completely unnecessary and snide thing to post.
