That'll get 1 view on here, I'm sure.

Analysts putting the matches into the vault with full sound for once, for the players' families and teammates at home to enjoy.

Senwes Park, Potchefstroom is the only cricket ground in the world where agribusiness has gone as far as buying the naming rights, I think. Looking forward to it.

Top NZ scorer in 2013: Colin Munro, 57(62).

Wow a great gift from Haroon!

Cricket South Africa, in an unprecedented move, will provide Black Caps fans living in New Zealand access to the remaining two Momentum ODI’s involving the Castle Lager Proteas and the Black Caps.

Fans living in New Zealand will now be able to catch all the action live via web streaming.

The live streaming will be hosted on CSA’s website, Cricket South Africa - Home - Black Caps fans to have online access to remaining ODIs and will be free of charge to fans living in New Zealand only.

“I am truly delighted that we have been able to fashion out the technical requirements needed to stream live the two remaining ODI matches to New Zealand,” said CSA Chief Executive, Haroon Lorgat.

“With New Zealand cricket fans top of our minds, we were determined to provide them with live action of two top teams and this will now happen through live web streaming.

“There will be no commercial gain for us streaming live but at the same time it presents us with an exciting opportunity to enter the world of live streaming of our events for the very first time.

“I must take this opportunity to express disappointment at not having concluded a deal earlier with Sky NZ and to later media reports which failed to accurately report the state of affairs.

“I must also take this opportunity to thank our host broadcaster, SuperSport, and the other partners including IMG who worked around the clock to make this possible for fans in New Zealand.” concluded Mr. Lorgat.

Play in the second ODI starts at 10h00 (CAT)/ 20h00 (NZ time)

That type of deal.

It's "in good faith" in that the super sport/host broadcasters don't have any arranged deal, but it opens them up for international advertising revenue.

I really hope this is the last time we see either Nathan McCullum or Mitchell McCleaghan in an ODI for New Zealand. McCleanghan fluked that start he had for New Zealand, although tbf he was probably a slightly better bowler in that he actually looked to swing the ball. But he's nothing but a joke nowadays. Averages over 40 with the ball since the start of 2014 with a Dernbach like economy of 6.3. Doesn't have the bowling brain to be anything decent at this level. He's had his chances, time to give Bracewell, Wheeler, Henry etc a chance and all those guys offer something decent with the bat too.
I have mixed emotions about mitch. I was calling Mitch a fluke artist right in the middle of his hot streak. Which landed me in the middle of some short lived debates as neither side cbf'd getting fired up about it. What was pointed out to me was that he gets bounce and that argument partially won me over.

Even in the last T20 he got a couple of wickets (Admittedly from shocking balls) by getting more bounce than the batsman expected. He is not an accurate bowler and never will be. My only concern about him is that his pace seems to have dissapeared compared to when he first started.

I would keep him in the mix - I don't think Henry or any of the other names you put forward are any better. But the names you said would be my platoon of bowlers.

Bracewell
Wheeler
Milne
Mitch
Henry

They are all much of a muchness except for Milne who is by far the stand out and to some extent, depending on how he travels in the remaining ODIs may have made himself a consideration for the test matches. I am not saying he should be a consideration because like Bahnz has pointed out he is a walking injury but knowing how much our selectors value ODIs as inferring test match success then I could see Milne being picked and my dream coming true at the WACA.

Wheeler, Milne, Henry for me.

McClenaghan's simply too much of a liability now days, the team have to carry him & unless something has changed, Bracewell's not a white-ball bowler.

My impression is these days Dougeh can only really dream of beating a right-hander's outside edge three times in quick succession, like Jacob Duffy did there last season.

Duffy's probably going to be a bit like Latham (Kippax and Hendrix saying he's quite skilful and quite good, others seeing a timid diffidence in him and wanting him gone, pronto). I'll side with Duffy for that duel with Bracewell that's looming for him in the coming white ball seasons, even though he certainly can't compete with Bracewell with the bat.

McCleneghan's pace is still there, he's hitting mid 140s. It's just (and always has been) very inconsistent. It's probably part of why he's been a successful ODI bowler. His pace and bounce is just so variable that when you're trying to hit the ball for boundaries you screw up your timing. Sorta an endless stream of sucker balls. It's the same reason Wagner can sometimes be useful.

There are clearly bowlers with more potential in Wheeler and Henry. Still though, I think McCleneghan certainly has a place in our ODI squads. At the very least it prevents our test bowlers from being injured.

Haha, that's some right uppercut from CSA to Sky NZ after all the toing and froing in recent weeks.

yeah I have high hopes for Duffy. I want him for test cricket eventually.

Bracewell bowled well in the t20.

I'm probably the biggest doug believer onthe forum and I don't even think he's an odi guy yet. Duffy will definitely pass him there imo.

Weren't too many Latham doubters as such, me and howsie(?) Just thought he looked more like a middle order bat than an opener. Happy to be wrong.

to be fair, most of them just thought he wasn't ready yet.

In my opinion, if you have a test match defense and a range of #shotsoffbothfeet, you're better off learning the limited overs game at the international level. For a player like Latham, there are no better coaches in NZ than Kane Williamson, Brendon McCullum and Ross Taylor.

Ditto re: Anderson and Neesham. I think Hesson realises this.
