*Official* Fifth Test at the Oval

LegionOfBrad

International Debutant
Quite. Plus the fact that so much of our top 7 is iffy, it would be a brave move to drop a guy averaging 40+ over 100 tests until one or two other positions are settled.
But he does piss me off no end.
Yeah we only have 3 players averaging 40+ in the top 7-8. Obviously Ballance does too but its been a long time since we've been so poor average wise in our batting line up.

Going back to the question of when was the last time we made a decent reply to a big first innings total, the 2nd test against SA in 2012 springs to mind - 425 in reply to 419.

EDIT
Sorry, just seent hat the India @ Trent Bridge innings was last year, not 2011.

Tangles

International Vice-Captain
Now the blind ginger drops one.

I'm glad he's retiring too
Seriously? Give yourself an uppercut. He's been our most consistent batsman and it would really help our transition to get another year out of him. Huge loss to the team.

Niall

International Coach
Warne slagging Starc again, not contributed enough.

Has he criticised Johnson who bar one spell has contributed absolutely sweet **** all?

Pretty crap from Bairstow there.
Another one who doesn't look promising for the UAE, given that he'd done the hard work. Decent bowling and all that, but a test match batsman really should be able to keep those out once set.

EDIT
****ing idiot. What on earth was he thinking?
Silly question, I suppose. Been a while since he's contributed anything with the bat actually.
