Haha, it is such an odd thing to pick out though. I just watched that part of the match now and I doubt I would have even really noticed it if I hadn't been looking for it.

I don't remember any of it other than the result.

I seem to remember there was a screwy finish also. JR's commentary was of the "it's not right goddamn it" variety.

Not a bad event on the whole actually iirc. Raven vs Rhyno, Benoit vs Angle and Shane O'Mac vs Big Show were all decent from what I remember. And there was that Duchess of Queensbury Rules match, whatever the **** that was, between Jericho and Regal.

Bahahaha I remember that. So weird. Jericho was being wasted on some rubbish ideas around that time.

Yeah, it was so dumb.

I just remember they had the "Duchchess of Queensbury" sat ringside, and every time Jericho did something like make Regal tap out she would stand up and say "The Duchess of Queensbury Rules match cannot be won by submission" or some bull**** like that. Just went on for ages with Jericho not being allowed to win, and the rules being made up as time went on. No doubt the creative geniuses behind the whole thing thought it was the height of hilarity.

AT the start of the match, Taker and Kane chuck the tag belts in the air. A superb act of disrespect for those belts. Loved it then and still love it now.
Face Austin used to do this all the time with whatever belt he was holding, and it made perfect sense for his character cause he'd just throw it into the ring, slide in, and start brawling instead of making an elaborate entrance.

Good point well made. Tbf that was the reason taker and Kane threw the belts. Just made me laugh more than anything.

So apparently Sting has jetted out of New York because he has other appearances to attend in Chicago. So I guess that's him ruled out for an appearance at Summerslam.

"It made me question if this was a popularity contest or a true competition" why would this line even be said

They've been doing close ups of stars in the crowd following every match and it kinda sucks
