Are you high?!
High on intellect yes. The only reason SL succeeded yesterday was because they went after the bowling, the specialist bats will not take big risks and go after the bowling after being 4 down so you can send Bhajji to just have a go and a 20-30 could calm the nerves instead of India being 8-9 down and then having to score runs to win, in which case the tail will try to "hang around" and get themselves out in any case.

If you want the batsmen to attack fine... say Rahane and Dhawan should do it. Why the **** do you want a ****ing tailender to come out and slog? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Why not? Couldn't hurt matters, especially with Dhawan turtling it at the other end.

This same "promote a slogger to get quick runs in a small chase" thing is what leads to monumental chokes like this one

It just doesn't work. Let Bhajji slog when he comes in at no.8/9, no need to promote him above Ashwin and Saha ffs.

Dhawan's got an injury and Rahane (or any other specialist bat) would be criticized massively if he played high risk shots. The point is that India can't afford to lose wickets of specialist bats, and high risk shots means high risk of losing wickets, Bhajji's wicket is not nearly as valuable as Rahane, Ashwin or Saha, so if he gets out trying to score runs then it's not that big a deal.

LOL, don't give me links of limited overs matches where there is a limited number of overs. Bhajji slogging @ 8-9 with the target closing in would attract a lot more criticism than if he were to do it now with bats left in the shed.

I can't believe we are going to lose this. Yes the umpiring decision and lack of DRS pretty much cost us the game but it's been some ****ty cricket as well. And yeah, it would have been great to have Pujara in a situation like this.
