If Warner had been not good enough to nick the one he got today you never know, he could have repeated his Hobart innings. You can't underestimate the value of luck.


Aus still haven't played and missed once, and have had 6 slip catches. That will be a record, I guarantee you. Crazily bad luck.





We do suck though
Oh ffs can we get rid of this notion of "not being good enough to nick it" or whatever. Batting in swinging/seaming conditions is all about playing the line, defending with soft hands, and not following the ball with your bat. That's why batsmen with good technique against the swinging ball don't nick it. They have tight techniques which allow them to miss balls which inferior batsmen with loose techniques will edge to slip.

Yeah, thought Sky's analysis before on how far the Australians were playing in front of them was really telling. Can't play like that in these conditions.
