I'm warming to Barrett, he was better before but being able to use the word decorum in professional wrestling is definitely a highlight.

Also can't wait till the revolution breaks up, as much as I like the idea, 3 of the top 4 female workers are on the same team.

Not even going to bother watching Paige-Naomi, I know it's going to be terrible. Naomi botching, Paige being irritating and screaming. No thank you.

Piper never wanted to win it. Rude was world champ in WCW, I think.

But RE Piper. So basically what you're saying is. You don't have any respect for the wishes of a dead man, you wish he'd won the belt because you'd have enjoyed it? So, so selfish.

Apparently he was super reluctant to take the IC strap in early 92 and was really excited about giving it back to Bret. What a match that was btw.

I think, like he said, what can make a real difference is just having a distinct set/stage for each show rather than having one repackaged. But at the same time, I can see why the WWE don't bother, as there are effectively 4, or maybe even 3, PPVs each year that matter. I'm probably halfway between a casual and a serious fan these days, but I just cbf to watch most PPVs in their entirety these days, the only ones that I really look forward to are Royal Rumble, Mania and Summerslam.

I def think WWE should consider getting rid of some of the PPVs in a bid to strengthen things up. Obviously Raw's ratings are going down, and I certainly feel like that's partly because nothing really important happens on Raw, yet it somehow goes for three hours. All the title changes occur on the PPVs, most of the feuds and turns happen on the PPVs, the Raw highlights are uploaded quickly to their YouTube account. Maybe getting rid of 2-3 PPVs could help re-invigorate Raw. Or not. Whatever.

i guess, though, the best way to improve Raw is to actually show stuff like that New Day video on the show....

Yeah, I quite agree.

It's one of those things where less would definitely be more for mine. RAW being 3 hours long really sucks - people with busy days will in many instances not have the time to sit through it every week, or will have better ways to spend that amount of time. And those who do watch it are subjected to a show which is usually 80% comprised of bull**** segments and promos that just go on forever (and let's face it, if you really were a huge wrestling fan but had a limited amount of time to dedicate to wrestling viewing would you really pick RAW over something like Lucha Underground of even NXT?).

Most of the PPVs are just glorified house shows as well these days, so cutting them down a bit would probably help. Don't get me wrong, there have always been shows that are very obviously of a B grade status (i.e. PPVs were always the top draw back in the day, and the TV shows, especially Smackdown and Heat were obvs the little leagues), but these days there's a very obvious second tier within the PPVs themselves which has kind of emerged over the course of the last 2 years or so. Similarly, Smackdown, which has always obvs been a B show, but for much of its lifetime was way better than RAW, is now basically an irrelevance. The downside of the emergence of the Network, perhaps.

On a similar note, why oh why did Paige do the Austin podcast today? Surely, given everything that has recently happened, HHH or Vince steps up and talks about Hulk, talks about Piper, maybe talks about the Undertaker returnining? Even if they just do half a hour and then Paige walks on. Just seems like a wasted opportunity.

I don't even think that's necessary. The thing is, they have enough good wrestlers on the roster to actually have a decent 3 hour show. Instead of spreading the time a bit more evenly, they give 25 minute promos to Cena and the Authority, and give the lower card and the divas barely 5 minutes. Hell, divas usually get around 5 minutes on PPVs for ****'s sake. I'm not saying they should have Sandow and Axel and Ryder out there for 15 minutes each but why not spread the jam a little better?

Have you listened to it? Was actually pretty good, and I don't like Paige. She's pretty interesting, been in the business as a Pro since she was 13, and sent out resume's to tour Europe when she was 14. She's definitely paid some serious dues and knows her stuff.
