Hypothetically, if the selectors were to insist upon selecting Haddin as keeper, I would prefer Nevill stayed in the team even if as opener. Otherwise Shaun Marsh is preferable to me and the obvious choice if another Batsman were to come in, regardless of batting position.

Agreed. Darsh opening in a potentially overcast conditions against much better bowlers than in the WI is a massive worry. I know both Anderson and Broad have to bowl decently but any movement and he will snick off.

Be such a shame if he does miss out. You get the feeling he may be done for the series if he does miss out too as with what he has and has recently had it might be hard to bring him back in. Would really suck if this is the way he leaves the side and I really hope it isn't.
