How did Bangladesh become competitive all of a sudden? The last few months have seen some remarkable results.

I can't help but feel they need to eek this lead out to at least 100 to really be a chance. I can feel a big second innings ton coming from someone in the South African side.

Good going from Bangladesh for pushing SA hard, but I can't help but feel that they've spurned a golden opportunity here. A don't think that a 100 run lead will be enough to press their advantage, they needed to really grind SA into the dirt if they hoped to win.

It's not really true to say this has happened all of a sudden. Bangladesh have been getting steadily better for years. They drew a test series with a pretty strong NZ side in 2013, and have been pinching more and more draws over that period as well. Thumpings and innings defeats have been steadily declining in frequency. And they've made huge advances in ODI cricket (where they've actually been a dominant side on home soil for the better part of 5 years now).
