Yeah it's nonsense, but I guess to some extent it's a necessary side effect of your top star(s) being part-time. When they come back in and get immediately entered into the main event program for the next big show, whoever's been occupying that spot for the previous few weeks will more often than not be left without anything to do for a while.

They really need to find some people for Dean to hang with outside of Roman and Seth. I'm not sure if a feud with Owens or something could work, but when he's not being the third wheel they dont know what to do with him.

I feel like they have entered a new era, somewhat. The combination of Lesnar and NXT makes WWE feel more, I don't know, legitimate than it did for the Cena-led, sanitised DX era of pure PG. I think there's certainly been a strategic shift to win back the adult casual fans and 'smarks', rather than being almost solely driven by kids and the hardcore fans.

Haven't read the article but reckon things started loosening up around the time of Punk's pipebomb. Over time since then words like 'ass' though nothing too edgy have been used whereas in the few years before they'd say 'butt'. It's been a subtle shift ever since then IMO

Yeah, I agree with both of you, and I think it's safe to say that we are now in the "reality era" of WWE programming. It's just that the reality era itself is, for the most part at least, very obviously PG.

I hope so but Titus has been pretty funny on commentary and PTP are slowly growing on me. Along with the fact they have nothing going for them without the belts means they might as well retain for another month or two to see if they can get over.
