I don't get the use of Ali. If England are intent on bringing the spinner on early and have him bowl 25% of the overs we really to pick a proper one........just a shame there isn't a decent spinner available.

Just been on cricinfo, wish I hadn't. All the comments about who should replace Lyth with Hales getting tipped. Hales? Never a test opener, not a chance.

Guess they will be saying drop Moeen, Ballance, Bell and Wood next. 8-)

Cant live with Ballance. Struggling to think of a worst looking top order batsman
He always looks uncomfortable, but he generally gets runs. He's struggling against fresh bowlers with the new ball. I'd move him down the order. Largely because England don't have many better options for batsmen. Unless of course they revisit the whole KP issue...
