btw idk who has a more punchable face, Stokes or Bairstow
He is very strange, looks great playing straight but very unorthodox when he plays some of his shots to different areas.Someone get a still of Stokes bent in mid air playing that uppercut
When in form he does, when not he tries to get bat on ball and nicks off all the time. Needs to leave and accumulate for a couple of sessions to keep us in this.Cook has left well
Voges.Who's off for Watson?
Would imagine he'd be off for rest of the game but will bat. Was a nasty blow and will be very sore today.Voges.
Sounds reasonable. An not entirely unexpected, given what we've seen from them in the past.2nd day seemed to have a lot more in it for the bowlers. Still not exactly a perfect bowling strip but it wasn't as bad as it seemed in the first day. Probably because Australia actually bowled very well and attacked the stumps though.
Didn't see the play but saw the dismissals later.Sounds reasonable. An not entirely unexpected, given what we've seen from them in the past.
Forgive me for not reading the earlier pages, but what was the take on the English batting? My impression was that Lyth should have left the ball alone and Bell should know not to play those sort of deliveries through mid-wicket. Ballance and Root more down to the quality of the deliveries maybe? But I didn't see much of it, so others may differ.
Well, yeah. Not sure what your point is though. Everyone scores runs all day against India.poor bloke missed the India series too where he would have scored runs all day.
apart from the wicket taking balls itself, Australia bowled very well throughout the first hour, they were pretty much pitching it up and attacking the stumps which England didn't really do when they bowled.Sounds reasonable. An not entirely unexpected, given what we've seen from them in the past.
