The thing you're not understanding is that DRS is reviewing whether the umpire's decision is correct or not, NOT whether the batsman is out or not. The benefit of the doubt is only to one discipline. That discipline is the umpire's original decision.Yeah that's exactly what I want - give the arbitrary benefit of doubt to one discipline. I don't care which discipline as long as the rules are consistent. As it stands we can have a Test match or Test series decided based on two identical situations resulting in opposite outcomes for completely subjective and essentially random reasons
Someone bring up the review hall of shame thread, there has to be a fair few of themTBF, it was one of his better reviews though, not hitting middle.
All mentalHe's not though. He has a massive technical rick which he couldn't deal with.
Hookes? It's actually a shame because he is just about the biggest under-achiever that it has been my misfortune to seen in Aussie colours
Yeah, the worst ratio of ratio of talent: performance I've seen, right up there with Ramprakash. Even Hick played at least one consequential Test knock but these guys...It's actually a shame because he is just about the biggest under-achiever that it has been my misfortune to seen in Aussie colours
This definitely wasn't part of his thought process though, his first reaction was a shake of the head.Given the situation it isn't the worst review either given he was the senior player left. Just very funny it was him yet again.

Yes I am actually aware of that. I guess I just hold the admittedly bizarre and unreasonable opinion that deciding whether an umpires decision is correct or not should be based on whether the batsman is actually out or not.The thing you're not understanding is that DRS is reviewing whether the umpire's decision is correct or not, NOT whether the batsman is out or not. The benefit of the doubt is only to one discipline. That discipline is the umpire's original decision.
Nah, Wood is legit. Watson's FC average is 42, he ain't a gun.All mental
He'd play Wood in a FC match next week and pummel him everywhere before getting out for 80
Did anyone ever gif Kp's reaction to the first Bres review?
Hookes had far more glaring technical deficienciesHookes?
