I don't agree with the current exact margins which they work with so I don't disagree, but I agree with the notion of placing weight on the umpires original call. It's the only fair way imo.
Only issue is that the manufacturer admits that there is a fair margin for error with the technology and we know the same exists with human judgement

I'd rather a situation where one or the other prevails

Yup.

Expect it to be continued after lunch and more noticeable throughout the summer. Stokes only seemed to remember what he was meant to do in his last two or three deliveries. Might be best to leave it to Wood and Broad. Short legs, leg slips and silly mid ons. Not even subtle. Just need the bowlers to execute.

He looks a million dollars when the ball is out side off, even when he pulls it to the leg side from outside off.
Only if it works. Or if it doesn't work, but there's no other plan.

Will be interesting to see what eventuates over the first couple of tests.

At the risk of him cleaning us up, I reckon Stokes is verging on pie chucker status

His technique looks to have deteriorated a lot (arm almost past the perpendicular) with nothing more than effort to recommend him

Certainly not hitting the wicket today.

Who is keeping a tally of the number of matches Clarke has gone without batting a session?

Predict a pretty 40 that delays the inevitable

At least now we have Wood in the side we aren't relying on him to take too many wickets. When we had Jordan and Stokes playing together we had 2 bowlers bowling the same varying amounts of filth and it put more pressure on Broad and Anderson to produce.

He tends to bowl great spells followed by a couple of crap ones. Against NZ at Lord's was brilliant, fast reverse swing bowling. His pace seems down atm.

If we're only talking Tests then two.

If we're talking all cricket, then over ten (though that includes ODIs)

Looks to be going past the perpendicular and getting wrist position all wrong
