Is this McCullums last LOI?
I think so, had his time in the sun when his tactic of bowling flat and firing into leg-stump worked on occasions, but batsmen have too many options these days.Time to call quits?
He has a very very poor tour. Very poor.
Not really all that concerned tbh. England have a good batting lineup now and are always decent in home conditions.Played England, well & truly pulled away from NZ towards the end of the tour.
That's a crushing win in T20 terms.
Yeah, I'm about the same overall. Not really all that concerned tbh. England have a good batting lineup now and are always decent in home conditions.
Coming out a nose ahead in the Tests by drawing away is the main thing I'll take away here.
Feel a bit for NcCullum and Mills. Were very solid contributors to our limited overs teams but weren't given a chance for one last hurrah at the world cup. Both would arguably be around our ATG ODI XI/2nd XI.I think so, had his time in the sun when his tactic of bowling flat and firing into leg-stump worked on occasions, but batsmen have too many options these days.
NZ outside of their top order, really struggled this series. Ronchi has had the burden of carrying the role of the sole reliable power hitter with Anderson out.So long story short, England kept the hitting going after getting to 5 down with Stokes, Willey and Rashid, where the NZ back five wickets got almost literally nothing
And was awful.NZ outside of their top order, really struggled this series. Ronchi has had the burden of carrying the role of the sole reliable power hitter with Anderson out.
He disappeared during the WC as well, I can't recall much from him since his 170 against SL.And was awful.
He always gets off the mark nicely through wide mid off extra cover. Then gets 'expansive".He disappeared during the WC as well, I can't recall much from him since his 170 against SL.
Hmm IDK. Mills would probably make my 1st ATG NZ side bracketed with (Chatfield & Pringle), but the likes or Harris & Larsen would keep NcCullum out of my 2nd XI as the slow bowling options.Feel a bit for NcCullum and Mills. Were very solid contributors to our limited overs teams but weren't given a chance for one last hurrah at the world cup. Both would arguably be around our ATG ODI XI/2nd XI.
The biggest flop of the world cup on reflection. I thought he would play some crucial knocks but stunk it out.He disappeared during the WC as well, I can't recall much from him since his 170 against SL.

Thank you,Brendon McCullum, for all that you have done for Cricket in the past few weeks !
A knighthood please...
And people may realise how important Anderson and especially Milne are to the limited overs side. The only positives of this limited overs fiasco, was Santner's development. And Ross finding form. We already knew that Kane Williamson was the Led Zeppelin guitarist.
That said, I want to see Sodhi in pyjamas and given a go as well.
That is a given. And people may realise how important Anderson and especially Milne are to the limited overs side.
