We've really missed Sehwag getting into Bangladesh's heads. Hope he reaches out to the media and pointts out what an ordinary side BD are.
This might be our most comprehensive loss to BD ever - worse than 2007 WC (not in terms of impact), and worse than Tendulkar's 100th century match

A nice kick in the *** for this Indian team.

The two contrasting opening stands says it all for me. Bangladesh wanted this win badly from the start and India seemed to have taken things for granted. Never been a fan of this Indian opening combo. Both take time to settle and this does have a negative impact on others to follow.

Will be really interesting if we somehow manage to lose this series. Without srini to protect him, it might result in Dhoni's sacking.

Dhawan generally doesn't.

Yeah what weldone said. Both have played well enough. I would prefer having Rahane opening but would be unfair to drop any of the two.

Think he is untouchable myself, however I'd be astounded if he makes the world cup, I suspect he will have a horror champions trophy and he may quit.

He isn't the player that he was, not sure if he is a big as a passenger as Rahane, but he isn't going to frighten anyone anymore.

His untouchability had a lot to do with the previous regime, no? Stories have come out that the selectors wanted to drop Dhoni after the England tour.

Kohli likes Shastri. Expect him to be around for at least two years.
Kohli also likes Shastri's main contender for the spot. And I think Dhoni will be forced to vote against Shastri anyways. The BCCI advisory committee is also closer to the other person than Shastri I think.

Yea that was the rumor - He was pushing for this job, not sure if he still is.

Ganguly has also openly said in a Bengali channel that's his dream job.

Also notice Shastri is still not named the coach; he's still called team director. It's also interesting to note how Shastri somewhat angrily explained in a press conference why India doesn't need a coach.

Having said that, there was a separate rumor that BCCI has a 1-year deal with Shastri for 9 crore rupees (but no official source confirmed that)....So, it's a bit of a mystery at this stage.
