Tbf, we've at least somewhat rectified it over this season. 4 points v City, four v Liverpool, beating United in the cup. But yeah, improving that further and keeping players fit would be huge.
It's a small improvement but I'm not entirely convinced. Your team was miles better than United's or Liverpool's this season so I still think that constitutes underperformance.

Also you're presumably up against Chelsea, this is a really strong area for them.

Would've been 4 against Utd were it not for de Gea. I don't think Wenger can be blamed for that one, we should have been out of sight by the time United scored.
But at 1-0 down the game was managed embarrassingly badly. Same story as the Monaco home leg.

Urgh that is poor. I don't necessarily support what he did, but it's surely a matter for Arsenal to deal with internally if they so choose.
I think fans quite like it occasionally, but they need to do something because it'd become a pain in the arse if it happened all the time. Should just be a fine though, no ban.

Yeah, the only hope Liverpool and all the teams in a similar position have is buying from abroad and hoping they unearth the next superstar really. The English players mentioned will never cut the mustard so far as breaking into the Champions League on a regular basis is concerned, and a lack of Champions League makes attracting already established superstars an impossibility.
Yeah, can never win with kids ;)

Who once they're good enough will want to go to a bigger club. Vicious cycle which Arsenal fans know about, but thankully we're out of that position now.
I think apart from Real/Barca/United/Chelsea no team is out of the position to lose their player to other teams once they're recognised as a superstar.

Arsenal will have to win and consistently challenge for the league/CL until they can join that group.

Not with crap ones.
Crap players, English or otherwise, aren't going to help.

Apart from spending a billion dollars the only teams that have reached the top and stayed there are ones that have a core of players that have more or less come up with each other. If any of the other clubs that aren't ridiculously loaded or capable of spending - i.e. Arsenal/Liverpool level of spending - want to reach that top tier they'll need that kind of generational core otherwise they'll only have blips of success.

We need to learn to get a point at Stamford Bridge. That's an extra 3 points relative to Chelsea right there.

The FA charging Jack for those chants? FFS, I know two Tottenham fans and neither of them gave a ****. Ridiculously soft.
In between the paedophilia, drug taking and 'racist *** tapes' (what a term btw), someone has to be accountable for their actions...

Yeah, it's not a bad move, but it's not exactly going to set the world alight. Can't really see it making a huge difference to Liverpool's fortunes.

Think it's an OK deal. Depends how long the contract is and what his wages are. I just don't really understand why he's doing it. He started 28 times for City in all comps last year, plus 16 appearances off the bench. Not sure he's good enough to command a start in central midfield every week for Liverpool.

According to reports, he's unhappy he has to play as the left interior in Pellegrini's system, so I'd think RB would be out of the equation...

Probably his worst enemy in that respect, as there probably aren't any clubs who could/would be prepared to pay his (reportedly) pretty substantial wages for whom he would be good enough to start in his supposedly best position.

Mind you, joining Liverpool is still better than joining someone like Tottenham, I suppose.

City will almost certainly pay something stupid for someone like Ross Barkley now. Reckon we can move ahead of them if they don't have a good summer and we do.
