Signing a player from the SPL never fills me with confidence. Sums up how bad that league is that we are going into League 1 and you are worried a player from that level won't be good enough for you.

If Welbeck could develop into an even somewhat prolific goal scorer he'd be the perfect striker for Arsenal. Wonderful all-round game.

Saddened by the death of Andy King. An underrated player and was a scout at Plymouth for a couple years in the late 00's. Seems to be best remembered for being thrown off the pitch by a deranged copper while being interviewed after the scoring the winning goal in a Merseyside derby. In fact people remember the interview better than the goal.

John Sheridan has left and good riddance. It might be a case of careful what you wish for. But scraping into 7th place playing turgid football and then being outclassed in the Play-Offs is worse than finishing mid-table.
