such a good point i hadn't thought about.
Yeah great point actually. They expect the players to be loyal despite being paid like **** compared to other countries, and treat loyal players like dirt anyway. There's little motivation for a guy looking at this from the outside to think he'll dedicate his career to playing cricket under a board like this.

Okay. I just saw one over of his where the batsman drove easily. I would love to watch more of this game later in the night. Looking forward to it. I wish we had more FC cricket available..

Given his age, you can understand why people think that two bad series = terminal decline. It can happen very fast and sudden, look at Tendulkar for example.
Tendulkar is a terrible example since India had so many great replacements for him. WI until recently had ****-all for test batsmen, and I still believe Chanders is their best batsman even on current form.

How do you define 'current'?

Virat Kohli (c)
Lara having a wahhh at Chanders not being given a farewell series.

Windies should have given Chanders one last test and Marlon Samuels should have ran Chanders out.

So at close of play the Board Eleven are 288/5 which is a very good effort. Chandrika hit an elegant 76 before getting out softly as he always does whilst Dowich hit a composed 78. He looks seriously composed for a young wicket keeper batsman. Young Royston Chase is 65 not out and looking good too. So at this stage Chandrika might be the one to get the nod but we'll see.

For the Aussies I thought Hazelwood looked very tidy and bowled so consistently. Siddle looked a bit pedestrian, rarely troubling the batsman whilst Ahmed started off pretty well but ended up looking like cannon fodder by the end of the day. Possible fitness issues there? Lyon was steady and got a bit of bounce out of the surface.

All I will say is that if Chanderpaul was a 100% team player, he'd still be in the side.
