To improve the quality of the product, much like the indie veterans have and also to revitalise very strong workers into watchable characters. I think current NXT without the indie veterans would be a too low quality product.

That's one of the all time great segments so you'd better watch your mouth.
...because they're not good enough and need developing despite spending time on the main roster? Gimmick repackaging? Weight loss?
If half of the NXT roster are moving up soon (as they should), the main roster is going to get even more congested than it is now. Either go back to a brand split, or shunt some guys back to NXT to see if they can actually become good.

NXT may have a lot of brand power but it is not a brand split. Sending someone like Curtis Axel would serve no purpose.
If you're talking about, say, sending The Ascension or Bo Dallas back then yeah sure. But putting main roster veterans in there? Antithesis of what makes NXT great. We already have the likes of Rhyno and of course now Joe, anyhow if you want some star power. What you don't need is Raw and Smackdown failures.
It's still a developmental show. Brand split is missing the point.

I think instead of main roster 'veteran's, guys who've been wasted on the main roster absolutely could benefit from going back to NXT. I mean, look at Tyson kidd. His NXT run gave him a new lease of life and he improved enormously. Don't see why guys like Zack Ryder , Damien Sandow etc shouldn't do a short NXT run. They're not exactly kept busy 24/7 on the main roster.
