I dunno. A lot of part-time leggies in my experience are really loopy and only really bowl the leg break with any competence. Rashid is much quicker and has lots of variations, so he's more like a modern limited overs specialist leggie, but nowhere near accurate enough to really make a consistent go of it without his batting.Sounds like your typical part-time leggie then.
Yeah similar style but not in the same class.So... like an imran tahir?
Genuinely don't know if you mean he's better than Tahir or worse.Yeah similar style but not in the same class.
Haha he's worse. If Rashid was in the same overall class as Tahir he'd be a shoo-in for England's limited overs sides with the way he bowls, for starters. He's a better batsman than he is a bowler really; I definitely don't think he could ever be selected as a lone spinning option.Genuinely don't know if you mean he's better than Tahir or worse.
Rashid isnt quick. He bowls it slow with quicker variations.I dunno. A lot of part-time leggies in my experience are really loopy and only really bowl the leg break with any competence. A late decision will be made on seamer Jason Holder’s fitness for the crucial third and final test against England on Friday at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown.
The lanky six-footer injured his left ankle after tripping and falling during his delivery stride while bowling his second over during in the second innings of the second Test in Grenada. He was stretchered off the field for treatment and did not return. He arrived in Barbados on Sunday with the ankle strapped, but word from the West Indies camp on Monday indicated that Holder was in great spirits and walking freely. The only concern is the player’s ability to handle a heavy workload in the upcoming test.
A decision will be made on Thursday night or early Friday about his inclusion in the final eleven.
There'll be turn and bounce on day one tbh, if Benn last year was any guide.England are facing the vintage dilemma of whether to change a winning team. They are likely to choose the vintage solution and resist the idea for the third Test against West Indies on Friday.
The pitch is hard, dry, bereft of grass and looks ready for playing on already. It is likely to be faster than the first two surfaces of the series, in Antigua and Grenada, and there are optimistic suspicions that it will take turn towards the end.
T20 but that was about 6 years ago.Loads of rubbish mixed in with the occasion spell where he looks dangerous with his googlies and top spinner (IIRC). Remember he got one through Kieron Pollard in an ODI once which was a great ball which I think was one.
The dryness of the Barbados pitch would normally cry out for an extra spinner but England are in no mood to experiment and Liam Plunkett, rather than his fellow Yorkshireman Rashid, will come in should Stokes not make it.
Hell of a gamble going in with 4 bowlers with Holder and Taylor given that Roach has bowled some real dross. Surely they need a 5th to take wickets and try to win.Windies have added Permaul to the squad because Bishoo has a cut on his spinning finger. They also expect Holder and Taylor to be fit.
I really want them to get Shai Hope in the side tomorrow but I think they will give Devon Smith another match.
how many people has he patronised so far?Bollocks. Charles Colville is back for this one.
Nobody yet, went straight to toss, plenty of time left though.how many people has he patronised so far?
