COYW!

Meanwhile, Glen Johnson starts ahead of Manquillo. Can at left back. Lovren and Balotelli starting. A lot to be afraid of.

At the very least need two from us, or one from us and one from Grecian/pickup's lot. Latter scenario leaves us a lot to hope for next week though

Rodgers never using all subs and Johnson being gash will never change. Lovren was pretty good. Balotelli was pathetic, good last 15 minutes when Borini/Lallana came on. Coutinho running at everyone in the second half was counter-productive. Europa :(

Lots of tears at Home Park this afternoon. I don't know who Tranmere fans blame for their demise but the owner seemed to get a good reception from their fans at the end. I'm not so sure Tranmere will get back quickly unless there's a major overhaul. They played okay today and were a bit unlucky but this is a horribly poor division this season so to finish bottom says a great deal. A bit ironic that Ronnie Moore is probably one of very few managers who could have saved Hartlepool.
We're currently 7th and barring an eight goal swing next week we'll be in the Play-Offs. We've been poor since Christmas but managed to be merely inconsistent while Luton and Newport have completely capitulated. If we make the Play-Offs it'll be pure hope and no expectation.

Sorry mate. Doesn't seem that long ago that you were confident of being promoted to the Championship as well.

The irony is that they took over at the start of this season and for the first time in 20 years we look in good shape off the field. But they couldn't reverse years of decline and mismanagement.

And yep. We should not have sacked Ronnie. Said it then and well it speaks for itself doesn't it???

Gutted for you GIMH, know how you feel tonight as been there. Hope you bounce back as quickly as we did.

Nice one Salop, after a dreadful week for us fans winning promotion and the players dedicating it to Lloyd Burton and Colin Bloomfield is superb. RIP both, pleasure to have known you Colin.
