Atherton is a bit like garlic. You develop a flavor for his commentary/writing and then you keep relishing it.

Cook has become a pretty good slipper when his world isn't imploding in Australia. Not that that was a difficult chance mind, just a general observation.

That's awful Daren! Skillfully negotiated all the movement and then played a shot like that? He's becoming as frustrating as Samuels.

He's pretty clearly not a "natural" slipper who's done it for a long time. Others have become very good slippers regardless of that, though.

Mo's turning it quite a lot which is promising for Bishoo. We just need to hang in there and get 300 plus somehow and we'll be in the game.

So Marlon to play a stupid shot in the next 15 minutes then?

Yeah, a Marlon lose shot is on the cards. Does the pitch break a fair bit here usually? If it does, will be unplayable on days 4 and 5 given so much turn right now.

I don't think it breaks up that much usually tbh, it will Spin more quickly but can't see it being too up and down for the pacers

Watch out for a potential run out between these two. They're easily our worst/most selfish runners between the wickets. They're almost always the one who ends up not out whilst their partner walks off shaking their head.

I'm worried about shiv. He's getting close to the end. Getting out caught at cover and lbw to a part time offie? That's just not the shiv we know.

Stokes with his standard average ball, gets a wicket stuff. If runs come from Ali/Stokes having 5 bowlers is a must for us at the moment. None of them good enough as 3rd seamers and Ali not a top class spinner.

Eh? Did you follow the first Test. Stokes had no luck. Anderson bowled a few people out and a lot of the other dismissals were at best innocuous.

England don't have a top class spinner and have one top class seamer.
