Dhoni showed some cool nerves to bring Ashwin on against Maxwell. The English data crunching couldn't have done there.

Yea honestly if Finch hadn't played this knock Aus would probably have gotten bowled out.
Nah, he used up so many balls which forced the other batsmen to play too aggressively and no opportunity get their eyes in, see off good balls etc. And this in a pitch SL were on course to chase 370+. One of the worst I've seen.

I can't wait till India get bowled out for 200 and suddenly people go 20/20 hindsight and call Finch's innings not that bad.
To be honest it isn't that bad an innings, Australia should be backing themselves to score at least 90-100 runs from here on in and if they don't get it that's not finch's fault. He was the anchor and he did his bit.

239 with 10 to go.

Not too bad for India actually.

80 off these last 10 will keep the game in the balance. I reckon India can chase 320, but Aus can defend it.

It's when the score begins to swell to 330-340 or higher that Aus become outright favourites.

Excellent fielding there #worldsBestFieldingSide

Okay, so, let me ask another rookie question. The first 10 and last 10 are power play overs, and the batting team can take a 5-over power play at any time (other than the first and last 10), and if they don't take it it automatically starts in the 36th over?

Finch played crap but he did do his job IMHO. When the PP was taken we had a shot at 400. He got out at the wrong time, though.

Last 10 aren't PP overs. First 10 are automatic PP overs. The batting side can take the PowerPlay anytime between the 11th and 36th over for 5 overs.

Right. Except last 10 are not powerplays.

Clarke being at the crease at the 40th over means Aus probably won't get 120-130 in the final 10.. Would they be happy with 340?

Excellent short ball again.

Yadav and Mohit need to learn from Shami here. He's used the short ball brilliantly today.

Excellent over this.
