A bit naive. Up until the rain started their entire innings was based around maximising runs and wickets through 50 overs. Strategically it is a massive difference. If they knew beforehand it would only be 43 it would have changed quite a bit.

If anything DL has helped us heaps. I reckon if SA had carried on batting they would have hit 400. At least with a score of 300 from 43 we're in with some chance, though not a big one.
