A lot of teams have done it. It is not just Imran.I am not talking of any captaincy. I am talking of a particular type of captaincy i.e. bigging up your team even when they are down in the dumps and playing ****
Ok, who had done it successfully in cricket before Imran?A lot of teams have done it. It is not just Imran.
Without making adjustments to account for different eras, which really one should do, AB is the greatest ODI player I have seen in my life.haven't seen a ball or read the thread. when i read on cricinfo we dropped de villiers...
go away imzamam ul de villiers, you're not fair. the UAE could make the semis with that bloke in the team.
all our own fault though if we dropped three chances. not over yet but we've dug a very deep hole and our death bowling is our only real weakness. this might hurt a lot.
we can chase a high total because we get some filth but 250 in a semi is almost worth 300 in terms of pressure so chasing 300 is a bit grim and not a great position to start the second innings in. we have the batting to chase this down but it's going to be ****ing huge unless we can get wickets soon. looking at 350 here and even if we get some guaranteed pie overs this isn't a bowling attack you want to chase 350 against.
oh well. we'll see what happens and i'll cheer until the bitter end.
Gavaskar. And you think Imran invented it?Ok, who had done it successfully in cricket before Imran?
I'm really not aware of it. Perhaps you can enlighten me?
And Gavaskar won the world cup with it?Gavaskar.
Who said that. I have been doing a rain dance in upper hutt for the past hour.Love how some Kiwis here are actually trying to say it is a good thing for SA or even for both teams having rained.
If they can grip the wet ballHow about the change in weather condition... will this cloud cover remain in thus helping the bowlers now with swing and movement?
You're making less sens with each post. If SA had 38 overs Faf would've tried to hit out far sooner, Sa's icing would've come in to bat sooner and AB would've started his carnage sooner. I have no idea what your point is.yes. Or if they had a few more, it wouldn't be much.
Faf didn't wall it just because he felt like it. He shut up shop because they could barely get bat on ball and if he hit out there was a significant risk of them being bowled out for bugger all
Nah, a wet ball is rarely good news for bowlers. How about the change in weather condition... will this cloud cover remain in thus helping the bowlers now with swing and movement?
Winning the world cup or not with it is not the issue. Imran won a world cup. I have heard it 20 million times over the last 40 days from the mouth of Akram. Why don't I hear more about Border winning the world cup, say.. I am sick and tired of this Imran Imran Imran. And Gavaskar won the world cup with it?
I never said or meant that Imran invented it.Gavaskar. And you think Imran invented it?
let it go - you chaps have backed him into a corner so he is going to keep swinging. Let him have the last word so it ends. Everyone thinks that 260 odd off 38 is easier. You're making less sens with each post. If SA had 38 overs Faf would've tried to hit out far sooner, Sa's icing would've come in to bat sooner and AB would've started his carnage sooner. I have no idea what your point is.
Oh well, so that's grating on your nerves. Doesn't mean I have been inaccurate with my comments.Winning the world cup or not with it is not the issue. Imran won a world cup. I have heard it 20 million times over the last 40 days from the mouth of Akram. Why don't I hear more about Border winning the world cup, say.. I am sick and tired of this Imran Imran Imran.
