Conveniently ignoring the last 8 overs went for 87, and they'll be swinging at things far more towards the last few overs....they are 216/3 after 38 overs. They're not even going at 6 an over. To get 350 from here would be absolutely outstanding. They might get to 330 if AB and Faf stay in for the whole innings.
what does the sky look like in the direction it is coming fromIt looks harder than before too
it's not at all. It's gifting them 50 runs.Worst possible time for rain. FFS.
Hope we get to see AB do the whole maabehn from 38-50.
264 in 38 is incredibly unfair on SA.
I genuinely don't get this part of the post.Yes, that's my point. Catching up on run-rate shouldn't matter so much. If you can see off the first 5 in a 50 over match you're on your way. You don't have that luxury in a 50 over match.
Really though, DL is a pretty good system; there's likely not much difference between 264 from 38 and 350 from 50.
I just don't know whether SA would get 350.
DL is a ****ing awesome system, but the way innings have been built this WC is not in line with how they've been built historically. It's definitely going to cut teams with wickets in hand short a bit IMO.Yes, that's my point. Catching up on run-rate shouldn't matter so much. meant to say you don't have this luxury in a 38 over match.I genuinely don't get this part of the post.
This is going to be a one eyed fan response but he (ABDV) has been riding his luck anyway so we deserve a bit of luck our way.Worst possible time for rain. FFS.

What their current RR is - when this whole WC has seen cake playing out 40 (70) starts successfully - not a fair representation of what their total will be at all.it's not at all. It's gifting them 50 runs.
They haven't even got above 6 an over yet.
Yep, made my point before I did. Cribbeh.DL is a ****ing awesome system, but the way innings have been built this WC is not in line with how they've been built historically. It's definitely going to cut teams with wickets in hand short a bit IMO.
Hypothetically yes. But tomorrow's forecast is good, so won't happen this way. What happens if both days are washed out? NZ goes through cos they ended group stages at the top?
You don't have the luxury of playing out 5 overs in a 38 overs match? Surely your joking? The fact that you have 10 wickets in hand chasing almost a 100 runs less easily allows you to play yourself in knowing the target is considerably less.meant to say you don't have this luxury in a 38 over match.
well, that was lack of skill from NZ rather than luckThis is going to be a one eyed fan response but he (ABDV) has been riding his luck anyway so we deserve a bit of luck our way.
