they are 216/3 after 38 overs. They're not even going at 6 an over. To get 350 from here would be absolutely outstanding. They might get to 330 if AB and Faf stay in for the whole innings.

Conveniently ignoring the last 8 overs went for 87, and they'll be swinging at things far more towards the last few overs....

Yes, that's my point. Catching up on run-rate shouldn't matter so much. If you can see off the first 5 in a 50 over match you're on your way. You don't have that luxury in a 50 over match.

Really though, DL is a pretty good system; there's likely not much difference between 264 from 38 and 350 from 50.

I just don't know whether SA would get 350.

DL is a ****ing awesome system, but the way innings have been built this WC is not in line with how they've been built historically. It's definitely going to cut teams with wickets in hand short a bit IMO.

This is going to be a one eyed fan response but he (ABDV) has been riding his luck anyway so we deserve a bit of luck our way.
