Cricketweb's twenty greatest ODI players of all time

SuperMurali

School Boy/Girl Captain
Best ODI cricketer != Best ODI batsman != Best ODI bowler

This thread was doomed to fail from the start.
Dude, stop it. Do you really think that people are too stupid to take different factors into consideration? McGrath is a fine bowler, probably better than Pollock. But Pollock does alright with the bat. People take this into consideration and decide that McGrath is still a better ODI cricketer than Pollock

it seems Kapil is vastly under rated as an one day player here. he was the best one day all rounder thru out 80s. he was the star of world cup 83 in every discipline.a destructive end over batsman with 95+ str rate , very good seam bowler with 3.71 econ and a brilliant over all fielder and runner between the wkts.
he was the best all rounder in 92 world cup too.so he would be in my top 10 list for sure

Can we just get this list of the greatest out of the way for the more sensitive NZ fans around these parts? It would have to be:

McCullum
Guptill
Williamson
Taylor
Anderson
Elliott
Ronchi
Vettori
Southee
Milne
Boult

Daylight

Viv Richards
Tendulkar
Seven other blokes on the periphery of the current NZ WC squad.

Remember, if you don't agree with this list you must not be giving NZ the credit they deserve.
good to see burgey spouting common sense for a change

Ok so when does this end. Any update on the overall order?
I'll tally it up in the next few days and present a leaderboard.

Would be cool if a few more members posted.

Nate, I'm unsure of what to make of your list....

Which he is actually not.
