I just cant get over Macca. This is a very important match and needed to be a bit more Guptil like in his shots.
Nah, as I said earlier, you need to understand McCullum's role in this batting line-up. He's the pinch-hitter & when it comes off, it gives his side a huge advantage...when it doesn't, our batting line-up is solid enough to still prosper. It's all part of the master-plan.

Serious question. Is there a reason nz supporters are so sensitive if people don't rate their side as the incarnation of the Invincibles, or the new ball attack as the embodiment of 1984 West Indies? Neither of those things means the person is saying they're ****.

Foreign commentators don't seem to understand the way to structure an innings in NZ on a ground with short boundaries.

You set the platform and then smash it in the last 15-20. Thats what they're doing. Neither Guptill or Taylor are worried about tempo at all.

I know, a knock out World cup game is the best time to ask a question about how touchy NZ fans can be.

Take it elsewhere Burge. Not the time or place.

In more important news I've ordered pizza. Only had a few beers in the fridge so I'll be on the whiskey for the WI innings. Could get messy.

Please numpty. I've backed them to win the ****ing thing. It's not today, it's been happening for a while. And I don't understand why.

Think I said it in the last game, but I don't like Taylor's approach when the spinners drop short. He should be creaming those long hops.

C'mon Taylor. Least a run a ball now, you've done well, but you've faced over 40 deliveries now.

Maiden over?

Correction we got a single, ah a boundary from Guptill.

Taylor needs to play for the team now, take the long handle and allow Guptill to bat through the innings.
