For England...

Latham | Brownlie | Williamson | Taylor | McCullum | Neesham | Watling | Craig | Bracewell | Southee | Boult _____________ Wagner | Henry | Anderson | Astle/Sodhi

Are we agreed?
Sorry Stags274*, I'm looking for a third seamer with less stamina and more wicket quality here.

Annoying how Craig's batting is quite vital. I was hoping we could do it right this time and kick Craig to the curb for this tour.

Would be smart to take more than the usual 15 tbh. It would mean Ronchi and a batsman can slot in.
No need for a 2nd spinner, just dial-a-Jeets. 15th spot can go to 2nd wk/bat, assume Ronchi.

Suspect McHesson currently rate Anderson over Neesham at #6 considering the maturity of Anderson's batting over the last 6 weeks.

Hard to see why Brownlie wouldn't take Rutherford's spot, gives Hesson his RHB / LHB balance, unless the 15th spot goes to a 3rd opener and Brownlie and Rutherford have a play-off in warmups.

NZC have said that's unrelated to any Milne replacement. Managing Dougeh's workload ahead of the England tour.

I'd like to know if any of the Wellington CW contingent have a contact for nice cheap cricket balls, also maybe a full-size bat from the 90s or 2000s that you've long since upgraded from. This gear would be for my brother, who just wants to have some net sessions at Ngatitoa Domain with a kid over the winter. Please try to post a picture and name your price on my PM wall.

In O'Donnell's second innings of this match you get a good idea of his back foot play by looking at his boundaries. But in amongst them is another one of those audacious front foot flicks over mid wicket from outside off stump.

Flynn wasn't enjoying Nuttall at all btw, really good little battle there. Nuttall's pitch map is still a bit ragged but he's got more unplayable jaffas per spell in him than say Wheeler atm.

Gave Watling a good workout as well; good for him. England could really use a proxy Boult like this for net sessions.

O'Donnell reminds me of early Taylor a bit. Strong on the back foot and dynamite off his pads with the odd gorgeous straight drive thrown in.

I was a massive fan of Nuttall when I first saw him bowl back in 2012 for the NZ Under 19's team. Reminded me so much of Boult at the same stage. For whatever reason though Canterbury have just refused to give him a decent run in the team.

He's been out for a year with injury. A serious one, I think it was his back.
