Bangladesh mean business. Will present a serious challenge in quarters. And this stage, it is hard to say they will play India or not.

I guess the biggest victory for NZ would be if McCullum ends his shift today without being injured.

He has two eyes, a heart and was born in NZ wasnt he?
Not questioning the fact he's loves him, but why he's expressing it ad nauseum while commentating. Exactly the sort of cheerleading that grates us from Australian commentators.

At least we needn't worry about MM.

Anyway, this is just great batting, enjoying it. Will be a great test of NZ's batting.

You can bet Bangers bowl a lot more than 10 overs of spin here.

40 off 23, superb innings.
All 10 England wickets were from pace.

Well done Bangers.

So glad we're chasing 300ish. Just hoping the pitch doesn't slow up overly and favour their spinners too much.

"those are never easy" - Every single time someone takes one of those catches. Literally.

Given that McCullum's hyperaggressive strategy completely backfired here, and given that the Bangers batted superbly for the most part, 289 is a very gettable total.

McCleneghan really doesn't look that good, does he? Successful in ODIs to date, but I cant quite understand why.
Haven't been watching, but presumably he was somewhat below his best this being his first game since the WC warm-ups?

He wasn't actually nearly as poor when he first burst on the scene in that series in SA, but has steadily gone backwards since through a combination of not opening the bowling & losing a couple of yards of pace since 2013.
