Wonder how comfortable Indian fans will feel with the prospect of playing them in the quarters....we know which side will be under more pressure if it comes to that ;)
India at full strength (which we weren't in the tri-series) on a pitch which doesn't have bounce we'll back ourselves to win comfortably against England, also India in ICC events take pressure a lot better than some teams (NZ comes to mind  )

Btw, how much better are Bangladesh in the middle overs with the bat than England are?
The Bangladeshi engine room of Shakib and Rahim is genuinely quite good. If Marmadoola or Tamim are scoring runs as well, then they will have a good day.

Still got to win these games, but at least it's in our own hands to an extent.
Won't be after you lose today though.

I don't even think it'll be the spinners that get you either. The Bangladeshi quicks are going to wreck house.

Who are all the players that were missing in the tri-series apart from Jadeja?

Also, I wasn't talking about NZ (they'll have their own challenges facing pressure against a possibly relaxed CBF/nothing-to-lose Windies side) :p But I'm talking England v India...

I just feel England won't go into that game under much pressure given getting to the quarters is probably the best their fans expect of them this time around.

Not if the Kiwis give us the ultimate troll and let the Bangers win........if that happens even if we win both our 2 games we're on the plane (I think)

No chance....NZ respect Bangers too much to underestimate them & there'll be lots of reminders of those 4-0 & 3-0 whitewashes in recent times.

I've got a lot of love for the Kiwis............but that will be gone forever if they do go down!!

If we did get there India are the one side we know we can beat. If it was Aus or NZ we were facing (obviously we couldn't) we would be beaten before we set foot on the park.

Yeah, I think England players will be quietly confident knowing they 'can' beat India, but just think they'll be under less pressure from the greater English media.

Making the quarters was kind of the expectations on this side wasn't it?

Also, it will mean my original semi finalist prediction of NZ, Aust, SA & Eng is still on...even though I'm starting to think SL could upset SA now..

Ah, that does seem fairer.

England still relying on NZ being professional in their last game (no suggestion they won't be) with literally nothing to play for though.
I think the bigger thing to worry about isn't us slacking,iIt is the very real chance that we rest players, without wanting to offend Hendrix, if Latham comes in for any of the batsman then that will bring Bangers into the game.

We have clinched first place and have very little to play for.
