repeat, If we're exclusively talking raw talent alone in terms of hitting a cricket ball, then lets include Bangladesh as well as many other teams.
Except most other teams (except maybe England because their batsmen aren't even worth watching) don't quite get made fun off in the way Pakistani bats do, and this has been the case for like the last 6-7 years, its like no one expects Pakistani batsmen (including their own fans) to do anything and while I wouldn't criticize anyone for feeling that way, its not due to lack of ability and talent that they are so ****ty. If Pakistani players had the kind of home comfort, development programs, and monetary compensation that countries like England, India, AUS,SA etc do then I personally feel they would be performing a lot better. Pakistan is still a victim of massive political games and messed up selections as compared to Indian players, who although don't have the most transparent board, aren't affect by the issues BCCI gets itself into.

Exactly my point, so why have you been arguing this whole time. We're effectively gone 360 degrees. :p
I said I agree with his point about talent. That khatmal and maqsood are talented. Not that they are another kohli

There it is. The 5pm forecast wasn't far off. Hope it'll disappear as quickly as it came.

Well that's an entirely separate argument again & I'm much too ignorant to comment much on their political situation. I was talking about the talent of their cricketers, not the challenges in their system.

Right but I'm sure you can agree that IF Pakistani players were given the same set of facilities and opportunities that England and India and some of the other countries have they would produce much better results (in all likelihood)? Pakistan have been at a disadvantage for a while now, and for various reasons, playing in the UAE as oppose to their home country, not to mention the relatively decreased interest in cricket and lack of solid domestic competition, banned from IPL etc. Then you look at a team like England who has everything they could possibly need to prepare themselves and they're still so **** lol.

Lol, how did we get from me calling you out on your comment about how Pakistan's current batsmen are pretty much as talented as India's to whether I agree their cricketing environment is challenging? Of course I agree their political environment makes it tougher for them,

Typical CW argument tbh....because someone is too proud to just concede they may have exaggerated a certain point, they go & completely change the argument. :p

That my friend, is a straw-man argument.

Because its interrelated, its more difficult for them to produce the same quality of cricketers that other countries can produce for reasons I just stated and yet they still do have batsmen coming through that can match the best at the top level, I never said every single Pakistani batsmen is uber talented, I never said other countries don't have talented batsmen.

I'm saying that based on whatever little I've watched of some current and past Pakistani batsmen I feel they have the raw talent that most Indian batsmen also have, the only difference is India is well developed and get the best of the best tours, facilities, IPL, coaches and non political selections (so they get a fair gig without having to "play for their place") and solid income, which allows them to play freely and give it their best. If Pakistan had all that then yes I do believe that some of their bats (not all!) would have the kind of records Indian batsmen have. Also lets not compare everyone to Kohli, the dude is even a level above other Indian batsmen so I don't even classify him in the same league. Anyways I don't have much more to add really, I just commented based on what I see and I could end up being wrong, but we'll never really know because Pakistan cricket will take a while to get to the same level as Indian cricket all round. I'm just gonna end it here because its becoming a bit of a drag now.

This pair is capable of doing lot of damage. Afridi has to guard against a brain fart though. Interesting phase.
