I personally dislike spin bowling in general.

Well, I'm American, so you can base any bias on that if you'd like... it just seems boring and defensive to me. Maybe it's because I grew up with baseball where a slower ball (changeup by baseball terminology, I think) is about as slow as a delivery gets, and is still about 120 km/h.

Just personal preference, I guess.

Yeah spin bowling generally is pretty defensive in New Zealand because the conditions really don't suit attacking spin bowling. I think you'll probably learn to appreciate it more once you've been exposed a wider variety of conditions.
