Martin Crowe will be at the ground watching. Probably going to be the last international game he watches live. I love how he has been covering cricket and writing and commenting all he can.

Can't wait for the game to start.
Yeah, saw him interviewed the other day & the crazy thing is he actually looks really fit & strong. Although he did say he's needing to sleep 14+ hours a day.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's well enough to be at the semi in Auckland in a couple of weeks.

Feeling a bit like Mark Nicholas before this game - a bit moist in the loins at the thought of what's to come.

He's still a knob though.

And here's the gambling update...but remember, gamble responsibly!

So much buildup for this game that I have to agree with other posters there's a feeling it'll be one-sided. Just not sure which way.

Expecting the crowd to be badly behaved. I hope they don't throw things. Always seems to surprise Australians, who for some reason view NZ as clean, green, nice, progressive, well-behaved, a little quaint, that in fact a sizable cross-section of NZ is feral. Like any country really. Though this is the new 'sledging free' NZ team so perhaps the crowd will follow suit.

Who has Lou Vincent picked to win, worth a bet eh.

Small ground. 350 chaseable I would think. I am not sure how much the openers will last with two new balls and the kiwi attack.

Can see Finch going out caught behind the wicket early if there's a hint of movement there.

Looking forward to seeing how Smith goes, especially if it's moving around a bit. Would be good to see him under the pump (but ultimately scoring 100 of course). He's done well in tough batting conditions before.
