I know at least one of the Aussies on the site has voted for New Zealand, so it's not just patriotism.
You voted for the blackcaps itstl.

I voted for them as well. But while we would be favourites here I would put us at over $3.00 to win in aussie against aussie with no warm ups over there to get used to pitch conditions

Yeah, I think NZ are favourites for this one.........but if they want to win this World Cup then they are going to more than likely have to take Aus down on their turf and that is going to be an entirely different prospect.

Perhaps the only big game in the group stages which can give us hope in terms of a close affair. But wouldnt mind Australia getting spanked tho :p

Maybe another Australian just told me in private who they voted for! :p

But seriously you're correct; I'm expecting New Zealand to win this and voted accordingly. It's a hard game to tip in any sense; my gut says it won't be a close game though unfortunately.

EDIT: Just realised this is a public poll. The first few polls weren't.

Yeah one team should win comfortably whoever that is. I understand the neutrals wanting a close game. But don't understand why any Aussies or Kiwis would want a close game. When I was a teenager I wanted every game be it rugby or cricket to be a last second thriller won by us. After being on the wrong end of a few like that now I just want comfortable victories.

**** yeah........when you're heavily invested in one of the teams, close games are extremely overrated.

I'm quietly confident the Aussies going to smash the kiwis, sorry nz fans when you put Australias batting lineup on that ground lookout, plus the Aussies only have to take 3 wickets and the kiwis will be struggling to make 200.

Quite right, I can only recall Vettori really losing his composure twice in the 18 years he's played internationals come to think of it;

1) His reaction when NZ got over the line in that infamous 2008 ODI in Eng when Paul Collingwood displayed poor sportsmanship in not calling Elliott back from a run-out after he'd collided with the bowler. I'll never forget Vettori's angry fist-pumping from the balcony when NZ got over the line off the last delivery.. It was so un-Vettori like

2) His reaction as he crossed paths with Andy Moles after being dismissed in the 2009 T20 vs. Pakistan after Umar Gul was getting the ball reversing after about 8 overs. Not sure if anyone remembers that, but you could hear Vettori uttering something like "That's BS, I want a **** official complaint laid about this ***" as he passed Moles on the way in..
Wasn't he involved in the altercation with Faf in the 2011 quarter after he choked AB out?

NZ winning is awesome for the tournament.

But Australia winning is good for making fun of Kiwi posters that their team is overrated just for the hell of it.

NZ winning and Twatto sucking could end the ****'s career.

But Australia winning is good for making fun of Kiwi posters that their team is overrated just for the hell of it.

NZ winning likely means, you'd think, a Southee or Boult special, which would be great to watch.

But Australia winning is good for making fun of Kiwi posters that their team is overrated just for the hell of it.

Tough.

Yeah but it's not guarantee it will swing and maybe it might for 5 overs then what, it's 50 overs and I look at it like this New Zealand have there best side in years but Australia are number 1 for a reason and well let's just say Australia handle pressure and big games better than New Zealand in fact whens the last time New Zealand had so much pressure going into a game.

Does this game actually mean anything in the end?

All the important knock out games are in Australia in the end
