haha yes they are. i know you love bangladesh but they so so are. only mortaza would make this attack from bangladesh's entire history. rubel has potential but he's muck.
Shapoor is definitely a lot worse than Rubel. A lot worse. Dalwat and Hamid are both better but they don't know what to do in the death yet.

But it makes the competition that much more tougher though, if we are backing those 4 teams to make the semis anyways. In a WC I like to see the team that's played the best in the tournament. Just tell all the teams to win as many matches as possible or you are out, simple as that. 6 games is enough for each team to make a legitimate case for making the semis, and a lot of teams would be tied on points towards the end of it, giving extra context and you would have virtual quarter finals in the league stage anyways. It would also help spread out the games instead of doubling them up and shorten the WC overall. I'm sure the ICC won't make as much money, but from a viewers perspective I would love it.
As a counter-argument, you'd end up with a surfeit of dead matches across the tournament; you'd be sticking a fork in England already.

The football leagues in England introduced the play-offs for that very reason - to keep the middle part of the table competitive for as long as possible, and keep as many teams within contention of progressing for as long as possible. I actually quite like this format.

Afghan Pace > Ireland, Zimbabwe, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and perhaps = West Indies and Pak.
nah over the top. kemar roach alone is head and shoulders above this attack,

these boys can play but we need to see a bit more. definitely the best pace attack outside the top eight though and given the opportunity would probably jump the indians and sri lanka if malinga stays dire.

Kemar Roach, who has now been dropped from the WI team due to his resemblance to a spud.

Shapoor looked good against BD to be fair. Was pretty mediocre against India but he's about as good as Rubel IMO. Slower but more accurate and gets bounce and some movement.

Hamid is as good as Mortaza IMO, and Dalwat is better than any BD quick not named Mortaza.

Even that Aftab fella looks like he could crack the BD side, bowled really well in the death against them.

I'd like to see a format similar to the NRL where if you finish 1st in your group, you get the added bonus of having a life if you lose the first match in the Play-Offs. I think it would add a nice dynamic to teams chasing top spot in the group.

Aargh, if Afghanistan had been a bit more sensible about their innings, they could've posted 260+ and really had SRL on the ropes. Backing Jayawardene and Matthews to get them home without too many troubles but a cracking advertisement for Afghanistan cricket nonetheless.

Yea that's my point, going off current form I wouldn't confidently say that WI's pace attack would bowl better than the Afgh attack.

If you go by past record and potential then Jerome, Holder and Roach are so much better than these guys.

I'd have Mortaza = Hamid, Hamid a bit better with the new ball, Mortaza a bit better later in the innings. Rubel > Dalwat very slightly. Taskin >> Shapoor.

Y'all haters.

I actually haven't seen enough of Taskin's bowling to judge. Lemme check out some highlights and footage later and get back to you on that.
