Every time you said that your players have disappointedJayawardene's in my WC draft, so hopefully he gets an unbeaten ton but runs out of partners at the other end.

But it makes the competition that much more tougher though, if we are backing those 4 teams to make the semis anyways. In a WC I like to see the team that's played the best in the tournament. Just tell all the teams to win as many matches as possible or you are out, simple as that. 6 games is enough for each team to make a legitimate case for making the semis, and a lot of teams would be tied on points towards the end of it, giving extra context and you would have virtual quarter finals in the league stage anyways. It would also help spread out the games instead of doubling them up and shorten the WC overall. I'm sure the ICC won't make as much money, but from a viewers perspective I would love it.Really? We'd be inking in Australia, New Zealand, India and South Africa...
Surely part of the intrigue here is that QF spots 5-8 are totally up for grabs?
Would the match vs. Australia be considered a game? There wasn't a ball bowled, or even a toss.....Games played:
Bangladesh 2
Games lost:
Bangladesh 0
Marmadoola's ability to summon storms is going to take them up the rankings for sure.
NR counts as a MP for the WC. But obv. not for innings batted/bowled.Would the match vs. Australia be considered a game? There wasn't a ball bowled, or even a toss.....
Aah, ok.NR counts as a MP for the WC. But obv. not for innings batted/bowled.
Me, and they aren't. This is the best ever Bangladesh pace attack though and has taken 2 decades to get anywhere close to where they are at.haha holy **** these guys
who was trying to tell us they're not a better pace attack than bangladesh again? fmd i was trolling with my afghani pace > indian pace but....
Maybe not literally every single game, but the margin for error in terms of the number of games you can lose reduces and therefor each country's fan would be watching with a bit more interest rather than "oh who case if we lost to the big teams we can still make it" and skip all the associate games. I also don't see how WI v Pak would be far less relevant? You wouldn't back them on paper and current form, but whats to say Pak can't come back and win 4 in a row, or WI for that matter? After all before the game each team would have only lost 1 game each.I actually agree with that format idea, but I'm not sure it really would increase the interest of every game. Pakistan v WI for example was really important in the context of qualifying for the quarters but it would have seem far less relevant if only two teams were to qualify.
NZ is technically a minnow in this example.I like this format. Each minnow gets 4 opportunities at top 8 team. Each top 8 team gets 3 opportunities to stuff up.
Afghan Pace > Ireland, Zimbabwe, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and perhaps = West Indies and Pak.haha holy **** these guys

haha yes they are. i know you love bangladesh but they so so are. only mortaza would make this attack from bangladesh's entire history. rubel has potential but he's muck.Me, and they aren't. Afghanistan are about 5 minutes old and look at them already.
Ya Jayawardene is hitting it off the middle. The crisis man. I don't think he will make a lot though. Ball's been doing enough to catch the odd Nick.jayawardena looking decent out there
