7th Match - Afghanistan v Bangladesh

Loving the Crowd Chants. This world cup is exceeding my expectations so far.

Also I have wanted to post this for a long time but could never find the right thread so this one will do the trick. Thanks very much Australia for partnering with us to host this world cup. Australia very easily could have gone it alone but they choose to be a good neighbour and let us join in.

Good teamwork from both cricketing governing bodies.
Though the weirdest thing about it is that even though we're partnering with new zealand we're still doing one match a day for most weekdays, which is insane and just makes the competition feel protracted. We have enough grounds to easily fit 2-3 matches a day.

Hathurisnghe should be fired for his shocking team selection and tactics. Picking eight batsmen and Mominul only getting to bat no 9. With the two idiots at the top wasting deliveries up front, there was a terrible utilization of resources on a 300+ pitch. Bangladesh will also miss the 2'nd spinner. Just completely brainless tactics.

Yeah, same here & ironically for the opposite reason to what Bleed_Blue's been spouting on about - That being, the minnows have made the WC for me so far.

And especially since there are different time zones. We could have a day game in Aotearoa and a day nighter in Australia on the same day. I guess to maximise tv revenues they don't want 2 games on at exactly the same time.

Not Terrible
Let's be real here. If Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are playing Test cricket, Afghanistan should be.
Na come on. Afghanistan have been good for all of five minutes. They're also a country that is unlikely to very easily be able to set up a strong cricketing infrastructure or EVER get a home game. They have a much worse case than the Irish. They have some players who look like great natural talents for sure. But that isn't what makes a Test country.

They have more club players than NZ, massive government support, and lots of talent to draw from.

Called that LBW as hitting him marginally outside off live, little stiff for the batsman.
