5th Match - Ireland v West Indies

Xuhaib

International Coach
Ireland will do a 2007 on on Pakistan only this time it would not be a shock. Playing really well here deserve the win.

I've been biased towards Niall since 2007. Such a treat to watch especially when he plays those cut strokes.
Agreed, have loved him since that great St Patricks day miracle.

This is no miracle though, nor is it the complete implosion of all West Indies cricket. This is a good Irish batting team, a disciplined attack and strong fielding unit taking apart a team on a road.

Give them Tests! (And Boyd Rankin)

Balbirnie is trying to make me biased to all his future innings. Some ***y strokes there.
Yeah they looked pretty but the easiest shots for an average player to play against a quick - poor, wide, overpitched ball, stand still, no back lift needed, no footwork required, just bring the bat down and it goes for 4.

The little I have seen of Balbirnie makes me wonder. Not convinced with what he does with his hands and his feet are a little jittery.

This is the value of keeping on going hard through the middle, rather than trying to "time" it and artificially placing pressure on yourself.

This is the value of seeing off the new ball on a road with small boundaries*
