5th Match - Ireland v West Indies

Mike5181

Basically that NZ are giving the rest of the cricketing world a lesson in what the 'spirit of cricket' should be all about.

The way they're respectful to opposition teams, the way they applaud their milestones, don't sledge & engage in cheap-stuff, yet are still highly competitive & play positive cricket to win.
McClenaghan's really the only player in our current squad that occasionally has a dig at opposition players.

Can definitely see Ireland making it through Group A with India/Saffers/Pak.

Would love it if Zim could sneak through as well, possibly at the expense of Pak.

As for Group B, I think BD won't win a game. It's hard to see Afgh or Scotland make it through instead of Eng/SL tho.

And seems like Bravo thinks he's wearing an orange shirt too.

Argh, have gym buddy responsibilities that mean I'll miss the end of this one. Will say that Ireland should be seriously disappointed if they don't win this from here.

This performance isn't that surprising from Ireland. Coming into the WC batting has been their strength. Good to see them performing well right from their first game.

ireland should qualify , on form, pak could lose to ireland and then they will qualify in 3rd place, leaving wi/pak or zim to battle it out for 4th

group B, 3rd and 4th places is the most open group ever in world cup history.

Different format and all but he has been very unlucky never to play a test. Would be great to think it is not too late for him to play one for Ireland.
