Is an important month for Brownlie. Hopefully selectors will take 2 spare batsmen to England, an opener and Neesham (assuming Anderson will be 1st choice at #6 after a good WC), means we'll be able to drop Rutherford from the playing XI, in the same way Fulton was eased out on the WI tour. I assume Brownlie, Worker and MBracewell (and Guptill?) are in the race for the opener spot. Brownlie making runs against Doug Bracewell helps, even if it is at the normally-batting-friendly Pukekura Park.
I hope Brownlie can pile on the runs and put pressure on Rutherford. He certainly deserves a go at the top.

I was wondering why they were playing an A game at Scots College but couldn't get a game started at Karori (although Karori does have its own micro climate). That's a shame, I would have thought they'd have sorted the issues after the complants last year.
