Have to say, this is the most English performance since the last day of Lords last year.

Followed by clueless questions about why Woakes bats above Broad, no doubt.
Woakes could really actually do with getting some runs. There really is no excuse not to today. Otherwise his ability at 8 and balancing of the side is at risk of becoming a myth.

Given that we probably won't get close to our worst ever one-day losing margin, a more interesting question is where will this eventually rank in terms of heaviest WC defeats by anyone?
India 413, Bermuda 156 is staying on top of this list.

We need 128 to keep Australia's 215-run battering of NZ in 2007 on the top rung of the full members list.

Get Colly in to manage the side, all the yes men and assorted ****wits can piss off.

First match of the World Cup and they suddenly wake up to Bopara, then shuffle the batting around. Knee jerk reaction after knee jerk reaction. I said months ago that this lot didn't have a clue. Cook gets booted out when he was actually batting okay, and give the captaincy to a guy who doesn't deserve to be in the team.
I'll yield to no man in my admiration for Collingwood, but turning any bunch of Englishmen into a competitive one-day side simply ain't going to happen. Useless turds won't become competitive just because there's a change of management, I'm afraid.

Morgan is crap but to start saying Cook shouldn't have been dropped is typical knee-jerk hindsight thinking. Cook had been crap for ages and didn't deserve a spot. Maybe Morgan doesn't either, but that's beside the point.

With his home country getting smashed like this, it's fair to say Abbott's bad week continues

But in front of a big home crowd, with huge expectations, and a lead of 247 with only 4 wickets left, will the pressure be too much for Australia?
