Not Terrible
In all honesty I think bowling him out is the right choice. The slow bowlers are going to get taken apart.even more comical from misbah would be bringing bilawal bhatti for another over

Good point.. the final is almost 2 months away.. a lot of things can change in that time.Anyone worried NZ might be peaking too soon?
You must be misbah's advisor. In all honesty I think bowling him out is the right choice. The slow bowlers are going to get taken apart.
He's been given a side with only four proper bowlers and all the part timers have been pasted. What's he meant to do?even more comical from misbah would be bringing bilawal bhatti for another over
Play one of your slow part timers against Taylor and you risk 36 off the over. You must be misbah's advisor.
BB just went for 16 and 21 runs in his previous 2 overs with the same batsmen at the crease. Get him off FFS.
change the bowling when you see it getting pasted especially when you have options. He's been given a side with only four proper bowlers and all the part timers have been pasted. What's he meant to do?
That's why even SL would fancy their chances.. they have a history of performing well in WCs and should make the Quarterfinals relatively easily, and really it's anyone's game after that. Our lack of consistency is the one thing which has me doubting we'll win 3 tough games in a row from the Quarter finals stage. Australia or South Africa.....much more likely.
Ehsan Adil and Haris Sohail are in the team because they are better than your average part timers. Bring them onPlay one of your slow part timers against Taylor and you risk 36 off the over.
You do realise that NZ grounds have small boundaries right? Bowling spinners at the death is a lot riskier here. Particularly against set batsman who absolutely love to smash them.Ehsan Adil and Haris Sohail are in the team because they are better than your average part timers. Bring them on
I would hope there's more to come. It's certainly not perfect. Guptill can still get better. Baz capable of an absolute killer innings once in a while - can he get more consistent (his ODI record in the last year is still not the best). Can't ask much more of Kane. Ross just starting to tick. Elliott/Anderson/Ronchi combo looking good. Vettori/McCullum could do with some wickets, even though economy is good. And I still think Southee and Boult may get more dominant as they bowl more together. Plus, what if Milne just gets that slightly fuller length and starts getting wickets.Anyone worried NZ might be peaking too soon?
Unwise to completely write England off IMO. If you look at their side for the conditions, they could just be one of the teams to get on a roll. If they get a couple of good wins early, watch out for them. That's why even SL would fancy their chances.. they have a history of performing well in WCs and should make the Quarterfinals relatively easily, and really it's anyone's game after that.
I do think only 5 teams have a chance of winning the whole thing though.. Aus, SA, NZ, Ind and SL. One of the top 3 probably 75% chance.
It isn't wisdom. Taylor has always been capable of doing this, but with the rise in his Test batting 2 years ago, there was also a decline in his "aggressive" batting. I doubt he has struck at over 100 too often in recent history.I thought the conventional wisdom was that Taylor couldn't up the tempo and have a go at the end - only one gear.. is this expected from him? Looks even better for NZ.
