Elliot's a pretty good finisher tbh. Not as good as Ronchi, but he's needs practise too.

As I've said about 5 times since his recall, Elliott has worked massively on his death hitting in the last 2 years. I suggest you check out his list A and domestic t20 innings over the past couple of seasons.

NZ don't need another finisher - they have plenty. Elliott has shown that he is the man for a rescue act - not for this scenario. When you options for this situation why not use them?

I blame my lack of knowledge of this on my NZ informants on CW who just pointed out he was some old guy who's good vs spin and reliable the last time he batted well.
