Nah it's always looked pretty legit, unlike the filthy Samuels one (which was clocked at 140 at one point ). I don't think he's changed the way he bowls it at all; he probably just can't get his arm through quite as quickly anymore. I imagine it'd be really hard to keep to as well, and with Pakistan's recent history of keepers (Kamran, Umar and Sarfraz..) it's probably a bit risky in general.

Afridi doesn't really have the wood over us with the ball. Averaging 40 odd with an economy of 4.50 is fairly standard for us against any quality spinner.

His batting record against us is just incredible though.

I would argue that economy of 4.50 is very very good. Indicative of the fact I rarely remember us dominating him.

I guess he probably reserves it to clean up the tail too, which would explain why he didn't use it last game

Yep, he pretty much just meandered up and hurled it down at 140. It was hilarious. Usually his quick chuck clocked at about 120; it was only when it started getting to those ridiculous 130+ levels that someone bothered to report him.

The key is Irfan getting it right. When he gets it right then its tough for pretty much any batsman in world cricket to do much about it. The problem is that he is not getting it right that often.
